New kind of Breast Cancer - DO NOT DELETE
Please forward to all of the women in your
lives .. Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, friends, etc.

In November, a rare kind of breast cancer was found. A lady developed a rash on her breast, similar to that of young mothers who are nursing.

Because her mammogram had been clear, the doctor treated her with antibiotics for infections. After 2 rounds, it continued to get worse, so her doctor sent her for another mammogram. This time it showed a mass.

A biopsy found a fast growing malignancy. Chemo was started in order to shrink the growth; then a mastectomy was performed; then a full round of Chemo; then radiation. After about 9 months of intense treatment, she was given a clean bill of health.

She had one year of living each day to its
fullest. Then the cancer returned to the liver area. She took 4 treatments and decided that she wanted quality of life, not the after effects of Chemo. She had 5 great months and she planned each detail of the final days. After a few days of needing morphine, she died. She left this message to be delivered to women everywhere:

Women, PLEASE be alert to anything that is not normal, and be persistent in getting help as soon as possible.

Paget's Disease
: This is a rare form of breast cancer, and is on the outside of the breast, on the nipple and aureole It appeared as a rash, which later became a lesion with a crusty outer edge. I would not have ever suspected it to be breast cancer but it was. My nipple never seemed any different to me, but the rash bothered me, so I went to the doctor for that. Sometimes, it itched and was sore, but other than that it didn't bother me. It was just ugly and a nuisance, and could not be cleared up with all the creams prescribed by my doctor and dermatologist for the dermatitis on my eyes just prio r to this outbreak. They seemed a little concerned but did not warn me it could be cancerous.

Now, I suspect not many women out there know a lesion or rash on the nipple or aureole can be
breast cancer. (Mine started out as a single red pimple on the aureole. One of the biggest problems with Paget's disease of the nipple is that the symptoms appear to be harmless. It is frequently thought to be a skin inflammation or infection, leading to unfortunate delays in detection and care.)

What are the symptoms?

1. A persistent redness, oozing, and crusting of your nipple causing it to itch and burn (As I stated, mine did not itch or burn much, and had no oozing I was aware of, but it did have a crust along the outer edge on one side.)

2. A sore on your nipple that will not heal. (Mine was on the aureole area with a whitish thick looking area in center of nipple).

3. Usually only one nipple is effected. How is it diagnosed? Your doctor will do a physical exam and should suggest having a mammogram of both breasts, done immediately. Ev en though the redness, oozing and crusting closely resemble dermatitis (inflammation of the skin), your doctor should suspect cancer if the sore is only on one breast. Your doctor should order a biopsy of your sore to confirm what is going on.

This message should be taken seriously and passed on to as many of your relatives and friends as possible; it could save someone's life.

My breast cancer has spread and metastasized to my bones after receiving mega doses of chemotherapy, 28 treatments of radiation and taking Tamaxofin. If this had been diagnosed as breast cancer in the beginning, perhaps it would not have spread...

TO ALL READERS
:

This is sad as women are not aware of Paget's disease. If, by passing this around on the e-mail, we can make others aware of it and its potential danger, we are helping women everywhere.

Please, if you can, take a moment to forward this message to as many people as possible, especially to your family and friends. It only takes a moment, yet the results could save a life.

BLUE RIBBON AGAINST
Child Abuse; pass it on please!!

My name is Sarah

I am but three,
my eyes are swollen
I cannot see
.

I must be stupid,
I must be bad,
what else could have made
my daddy
so mad?

I wish I were better,
I wish I weren't ugly,

then maybe my Mommy

would still want to hug me.

I can't speak at all,
I can't do a wrong
or else I'm locked up
all the day long.

When I awake I'm all alone

the house is dark

my folks aren't home.

When my Mommy does come
I'll try and be nice,

so maybe I'll get just

one whipping tonight.

Don't make a sound!
I just heard a car
my daddy is back
from Charlie's Bar.

I hear him curse
my name he calls
I press myself
against the wall..

I try and hide
from his evil eyes
I'm so afraid now
I'm starting to cry.

He finds me weeping
he shouts ugly words,
he says its my fault

that he suffers at work.

He slaps me and hits me
and yells at me more,
I finally get free
and I run for the door.

He's already locked it
and I start to bawl,
he takes me and throws me
against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor

with my bones nearly broken,

and my daddy continues
with more bad words spoken.

'I'm sorry!' I scream

but its now much too late

his face has been twisted
into unimaginable hate.

The hurt and the pain

again and again

oh please God, have mercy!
oh please let it end!

And he finally stops
and heads for the door,
while I lay there motionless
sprawled on the floor.

My name is Sarah

and I am but three,

tonight my daddy
murdered me.

There are thousands of kids out there just like Sarah. And you can help

It sickens me to my soul, and if you just read this and don't pass it on I pray for your forgiveness, because you would have to be one heartless person to not be affected by this email. And because you are affected, do something about it!! So all I am asking you to do is take some time to send this on and acknowledge that this stuff does happen, and that people like her dad do live in our society , and pray for child abuse to wither out and die, but also pray for the safety of our youth.

Please pass this poem on as a Blue Ribbon Against Child Abuse because, as crazy as it might sound, it might just indirectly change a life.

Medical Advice To Live By

I love this Doctor

Q:  Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Your heart is only good  for so many  beats, and that's it...  don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer;  that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster.  Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should  I cut  down  on meat and  eat more fruits and  vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies.  What does a cow eat?   Hay and corn.   And what are these?  Vegetables.  So a steak  is nothing  more  than an efficient mechanism of  delivering  vegetables to your  system.   Need grain?   Eat chicken.   Beef is also a  good source  of field grass (green leafy vegetable).   And a pork chop can  give you   100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable  products.

Q: Should  I reduce my alcohol intake?
A:  No, not at  all.  Wine is made from  fruit.  Brandy is distilled wine,  that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain.  Bottoms up!

Q: How can I calculate my  body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one.  If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular  exercise  program?
A: Can't  think of a single one, sorry.  My philosophy is: No   Pain...Good!

Q:  Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A:  YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!! .....  Foods are fried these days in   vegetable oil.  In fact,  they're permeated in it.   How could  getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Q:  Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around   the
middle?
A: Definitely  not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be  doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q:   Is chocolate bad for me?
A:  Are you crazy?  HELLO!?     Cocoa  beans - another vegetable!!! It's the  best feel-good food around!

Q:  Is swimming good for your figure?
A:  If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q:  Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A:  Hey -  'Round' is  a shape!

Well, I hope this has  cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.
AND.....
For  those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final  word on nutrition and health.  It's a relief to know the  truth after all those conflicting  nutritional  studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2.  The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks  than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and  suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and still suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION

Eat and drink what you like.
It's speaking English that is apparently what kills you!

AND  REMEMBER:
'Life should  NOT  be a  journey to the grave with the intention of  arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one  hand -  chocolate in  the other - with your body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO  HOO, What a Ride!"

Overview:
Having embarked on this journey through entrepreneurship, a subject i vowed never to step foot into in the past, i must say, i have experienced more than i have expected to. its been a long, and winding road, with many pits stops in between, and to my suprise, i've enjoyed every moment of it.

At the beginning, my group members and i, were rather keen on doing a project on 'innovation'. However, having to think about a product or an idea for it, was almost impossible with so many setbacks, and disagreements between us. Some of us were still keen on trying our luck with 'entrepreneurship', and the others wanted to try 'health promotion'. of course, there were disputes, and arguments, but we were all open to each other's ideas. After Mr Ibrahim our tutor, gave us the insight about entrepreneurship, and assured us that he would support and guide us through the project, we were feeling rather encouraged, and

àNeeds to satisfy- health living, tasty food, party food for chronically ill patients, guiltless dinning,

à How can we differentiate ourselves- our food taste really good, we use other healthier option without compromising on taste?

àPricing strategy- with the use of premium pricing our food will be affordable

marketing research

à customersà the lonely rich, young happy couples, rich hippies, dieting woman, others

à where do our customers live- refer to power point slides

à best place- novena square is a prime place which is centralized with housing estates, office buildings and a hospital within walking distance

àbest time- opening hours are 11 to 9… last order will be taken at 8.30 so that serves as the best timing because it covers lunch, tea and lunch and dinner.

à best price- ???

à

With food being a basic necessity, and health being a common worry, Our primary target audience would be Singaporeans aged between 18 to 69 years of age. Although it is a rather large population of an estimated 3.2 million people, the team has agreed that it is important to cultivate healthy eating habits in teenagers as well as adults, as this is the group of people who are given complete control over their diet, and lifestyle. We aim to use the concept of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention, and educate our customers about the benefits and ill effects of the foods, that they choose to eat. Eating healthy is not necessarily disgusting, or tasteless, as food can be tailored to taste great, look good, and best of all, be healthy.

Of course with the advancement of technology, modernization, and increased emphasis on healthy living, there are other companies that have developed a concept similar to ours.ADD MORE ABOUT COMPETITIORS. However, with careful thought, and blahblah, our venture is different. We are a company that prides in providing our customers with nothing but the best. Without compromising on quality, and ensuring that our ingredients and cooking methods are blahblah, we make a commitment to serve our customers with good food, for a good price.

Applying the old saying ‘They gave a party and no one came’ to our concept, we understand that there are some needs that we need to satisfy in order for our customers to want to come to us.

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND
ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHN HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE
IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY .

Cancer Update from John Hopkins
:

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumours.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies.. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6.. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size.. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancercells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

WHAT CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like
NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molassesbut only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than
beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline
environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C)..

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties.
Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

8 Toxic personalities to avoid

Although we like to think that the people in our lives are well-adjusted, happy, healthy minded individuals, we sometimes realize that it just isn't so.  Personally, I've had moments where I'll be skipping through my day, happy as can be, thinking life is grand and BAM, I'll be blindsided by someone who manages to knock the happy wind out of my sails.  Sometimes it is easy to write it off and other times, not so much.

Maybe you are a positive person, but when you are around a certain individual, you feel negative.  Or, maybe you have an idealistic view of the world and when you are with certain people, you are made to feel silly, unrealistic or delusional.  Or, maybe you pride yourself in being completely independent and in control of your life, but when you are around a certain family member, you regress into a state of childhood.

Some of these situations, and yes, these people, can have a tremendously negative impact on our lives.  And, although we are all human and have our 'issues,' some 'issues' are quite frankly, toxic.  They are toxic to our happiness.  They are toxic to our mental outlook.  They are toxic to our self-esteem.  And they are toxic to our lives.  They can suck the life out of us and even shorten our lifespan.

Here are the worst of the toxic personalities out there and how to spot them:
1. Manipulative Mary: These individuals are experts at manipulation tactics.  Is a matter of fact, you may not even realize you have been manipulated until it is too late.  These individuals figure out what your 'buttons' are, and push them to get what they want.

  • Why they are toxic: These people have a way of eating away at your belief system and self-esteem.  They find ways to make you do things that you don't necessarily want to do and before you know it, you lose your sense of identity, your personal priorities and your ability to see the reality of the situation.  The world all of a sudden becomes centered around their needs and their priorities.

2. Narcissistic Nancy: These people have an extreme sense of self-importance and believe that the world revolves around them.  They are often not as sly as the Manipulative Marys of the world, but instead, tend to be a bit overt about getting their needs met.  You often want to say to them "It isn't always about you."
  • Why they are toxic: They are solely focused on their needs, leaving your needs in the dust.  You are left disappointed and unfulfilled.  Further, they zap your energy by getting you to focus so much on them, that you have nothing left for yourself.

3. Debbie Downers: These people can't appreciate the positive in life.  If you tell them that it is a beautiful day, they will tell you about the impending dreary forecast.  If you tell them you aced a mid-term, they'll tell you about how difficult the final is going to be.
  • Why they are toxic: They take the joy out of everything.  Your rosy outlook on life continues to get squashed with negativity.  Before you know it, their negativity consumes you and you start looking at things with gray colored glasses yourself.

4. Judgmental Jims: When you see things as cute and quirky, they see things as strange and unattractive.  If you find people's unique perspectives refreshing, they find them 'wrong'.  If you like someone's eclectic taste, they find it 'disturbing' or 'bad'.
  • Why they are toxic: Judgmental people are much like Debbie Downers.  In a world where freedom rings, judgment is sooo over.  If the world was a homogeneous place, life would be pretty boring.  Spending a lot of time with these types can inadvertently convert you into a judgmental person as well.

5. Dream Killing Keiths: Every time you have an idea, these people tell you why you can't do it.  As you achieve, they try to pull you down.  As you dream, they are the first to tell you it is impossible.
  • Why they are toxic: These people are stuck in what is instead of what could be.  Further, these individuals eat away at your self-esteem and your belief in yourself.  Progress and change can only occur from doing new things and innovating, dreaming the impossible and reaching for the stars.

6. Insincere Illissas: You never quite feel that these people are being sincere.  You tell a funny story, they give you a polite laugh.  You feel depressed and sad and they give you a 'there, there' type response.  You tell them you are excited about something and you get a very ho-hum response.
  • Why they are toxic: People who aren't sincere or genuine build relationships on superficial criteria.  This breeds shallow, meaningless relationships.  When you are really in need of a friend, they won't be there.  When you really need constructive criticism, they would rather tell you that you are great the way you are.  When you need support, they would rather see you fail or make a fool of yourself.

7. Disrespectful Dannys: These people will say or do things at the most inappropriate times and in the most inappropriate ways.  In essence, they are more subtle, grown up bullies.  Maybe this person is a friend who you confided in and uses your secret against you.  Maybe it is a family member who puts their busy-body nose into your affairs when it is none of their business.  Or maybe, it is a colleague who says demeaning things to you.
  • Why they are toxic: These people have no sense of boundaries and don't respect your feelings or, for that matter, your privacy.  These people will cause you to feel frustrated and disrespected.

8. Never Enough Nellies: You can never give enough to these people to make them happy.  They take you for granted and have unrealistic expectations of you.  They find ways to continually fault you and never take responsibility for anything themselves.
  • Why they are toxic: You will spend so much time trying to please them, that you will end up losing yourself in the process.  They will require all of your time and energy, leaving you worn out and your own needs sacrificed.

All of these personalities have several things in common.  1) the more these people get away with their behavior, the more they will continue.  2) Unfortunately, most of these people don't see that what they do is wrong and as a result, talking to them about it will fall on deaf ears, leaving you wondering if you are the crazy one.  3) Most of these people get worse with age, making their impact on you stronger with time.

Frankly, life is too short to spend your time dealing with toxicity.  If you can, avoid spending much time with people who are indicative of these behaviors and you'll feel a lot happier. Have you encountered these personalities?  What have you done?  Any personalities you would like to add?

( God's Amazing Pharmacy )
It's been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land,
planted a garden, and made animals and fish, long before making man.

To ensure healthful living, God left us some clues as to which foods we should eat

to keep specific parts of our body healthy!

We call this God's Amazing Pharmacy..

A sliced carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and
radiating lines look just like the human eye. And yes, science now confirms that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to our eyes.
The tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers
and is red. Research shows that tomatoes are loaded with lycopine, a wonderful
heart and blood food.
Grapes hang in a cluster resembling the shape of the heart.
An individual grape looks like a blood cell and research today shows that grapes
are a wonderful heart and blood vitalizing food.

A walnut looks like a little brain, with left and right hemispheres,
upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on a walnut are

like the neo-cortex. We now know that walnuts help develop more than three
(3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.
Kidney beans help heal and maintain kidney function and,
yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
Celery, bok choy, and rhubarb look like bones.
These foods target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium.
If you don't have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones,
making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Avocados, eggplant and pears target the health and function
of the womb and cervix of the female, and they look just like these organs.
Research today shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week,

it balances her hormones, helps shed unwanted birth weight, and helps

prevent cervical cancers. How profound is this?
It takes nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit.
There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one
of these foods (modern science has only stu! died and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow.
Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm
as well to overcome male sterility.
Sweet potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance
the glycemic index of diabetics.
Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries
Oranges, grapefruits, and other citrus fruits look like the
mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts
and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
Onions look like the body's cells. Today's research shows onions help
clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which
wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, garlic,
also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Delicious: Fruits in breakfast are good. —

CHENNAI: There seems to be a lot of merit in the old saying “Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper.”
Studies across the globe are increasingly indicating the necessity to break one’s fast in the morning with a substantial portion of the day’s nutritional requirements.
Technically, having a meal in the morning a few hours after waking up makes you a healthier person. An inverse relationship has been established between breakfast eating and body mass index.
Proof is being offered for the theory that that regular breakfast eaters are less likely to have high cholesterol, blood pressure or blood sugar. Some researchers have gone on to tie up missing breakfast with a sedentary lifestyle. While making a healthy meal at breakfast is good for all, for children it is all the more essential. Studies show that better school performance is linked with breakfast eating. Director of the Institute of Child Health Sarada Suresh says, “Breakfast has a great impact on children. Unlike adults, most children have finished dinner by 8 p.m., go to bed relatively earlier. Sometimes, it is nearly a 12- hour gap between two meals.”
She goes on to explain the co-relation between school performance and breakfasting.
“The glucose level in the body has to be maintained at a particular level. For the brain to function, glucose is absolutely essential. Denying the body its quota of food in the morning means that the blood sugar level could dip.” As a result, concentration goes down and children get irritable and sometimes even faint in school.
It is important to pack in at least 600-700 calories at breakfast and balance it out with sugars, protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals, Dr. Suresh stresses. If there are frequent dips in blood sugar, it could even affect growth, she adds. Parents have a key role to play in insisting that a child has breakfast. The excuses of no hunger and lack of time simply will not do, she adds. As much as breakfast is important to a child’s life and growth, its significance in an adult’s life cannot be underestimated.
A recent study in Mumbai conducted by the Nirmala Niketan College of Home Science, Mumbai, with support from Kellogg India, goes to show that the tendency to skip meals is common among all age groups. About 34 per cent of all those interviewed said they skipped breakfast, making it the meal most likely to be missed in a day.
Worse still, about 75 per cent of teenagers and adults believed it was fine to skip breakfast once or twice in a week, a tendency to “manage until lunch.”

  11. Allow it to cool slightly then cut into 12 chucky finger-sized pieces.

Caramel
180gm Carnation sweetened condensed milk (can use Light condensed milk)

Method:

Put all ingredients into a saucepan (preferably non-stick).

Heat as gently as possible, stirring continually.

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for
> those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for
> our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a 'sweet duty.'
>
> 2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach,
> instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers.
> They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right
> direction. Keep them in your prayers.
>
> 3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our
> leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry,
> and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public
> opinion. They need God's guidance.
>
> 4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the
> fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will
> testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in
> trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night.
>
> 5. And lastly comes our little finger - the smallest finger of all
> which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and
> others. As the Bible says, 'The least shall be the greatest among
> you.' Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time
> you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put
> into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself
> more effectively.

i wonder if you guys have ever had a person in your life,
who is such a mess, that she didnt know it herself.

selfish.. undeniably selfish, and self absorbed and unprofessional.
im not pointing fingers, and im definitely not judging or bitching this time..
dont see the point, some people have too much of a numbskul
and there's just no point.

sometimes i want to know how you live with yourself.
hypocritical.. im just playing your damn game.
im not saying i dont care..
on quite the contrary, i do.
and sometimes i think to myself, what have i not done.

then i realise, with some people, there's only so much you can do.
some are beyond help. just wasted.

lay in self pity, and manipulate others to pity you.
it isnt gonna work with me anymore..
unfortunately, i know you too well.
and you've got so many secrets, so much to hide.
you are so broken, so lost and so uncared for.
a social butterfly, not cos you have so many friends,
but because you dont have any true friends.
which is truly pathetic.

it isnt cos people dont care.
cos people are horrible,
but because you make use of so many people,
and walk all over them, and use them as backup plan.

one day you'll see, that your a really lousy friend.
and when you actually wanna do something,
it'd be too damn late.
all the best.

 Hi all

For those who love bananas, you will be thrilled to know how great bananas are! Eat more bananas.........................

A professor at CCNY for a physiological psych class told his class about bananas. He said the expression 'going bananas' is from the effects of bananas on the brain. Read on:

Never, put your banana in the refrigerator!!!

This is interesting.

After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.

Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy

Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.

But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS:
Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anemia:
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

Blood Pressure:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power:
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation:
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness:
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves:
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight
and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control:
Many other cultures see bananas as a 'cooling' fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD):
Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.

Smoking &Tobacco Use:
Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.

Strokes:
According to research in The New England Journal of Medicine, eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!

Warts:
Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out.. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A banana a day keeps the doctor away!'
